Who Is Eligible?
- Homeowners: Yes, with off-street parking
- Renters: Yes, since 2024 (landlord permission required)
- Flat Owners: Yes, since 2024 (landlord/building consent required)
- Requirement: Own or have access to an EV (electric vehicle)
- Requirement: Off-street parking (driveway, garage, or designated bay)
The £350 Grant
Fixed amount regardless of charger type
Covers: Charger cost + installation (toward the total)
Claim: Deducted from final invoice by approved installer

The grant only applies to chargers on the approved OZEV list. Common approved models:

- Ohme Home
- Tesla Wall Connector

- Choose Approved Installer: Use installer accredited by OZEV
- Select Approved Charger: From the approved list above
- Get Quote: OZEV-registered installer provides quote with grant deducted
- Installation: Installer completes work (1-2 days)
- Certification: Installer certifies installation. Grant claim processed automatically.
Smart Charging Requirement
All new chargers must be “smart” (capable of load-shifting to support grid). This means:
- Charger can accept signals from the grid
- Can delay charging to off-peak times
- No additional cost to you
- Allows you to use cheaper night-time tariffs

Wallbox Pulsar Plus: £649 + £350 installation = £999 total, minus £350 grant = £649
Pod Point Solo 3: £799 + £400 installation = £1,199 total, minus £350 grant = £849
