How We Fund This Site
LookInto is an independently operated consumer guidance website. We earn revenue through affiliate marketing, which means we may receive a commission when you click on certain links on our site and make a purchase. This page explains exactly how this works and what it means for you.
What Are Affiliate Links?
An affiliate link is a special tracking link that tells a retailer you arrived at their site via LookInto. If you make a purchase after clicking one of these links, the retailer pays us a small commission — typically between 1% and 10% of the purchase price. This commission comes from the retailer, not from you. You pay exactly the same price whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer.
Which Affiliate Programmes Do We Use?
We participate in the following affiliate programmes: Amazon Associates — the Amazon EU Associates Programme, which allows us to earn fees by linking to Amazon.co.uk and affiliated sites. We may also work with other affiliate networks and individual retailer programmes where relevant to our content.
How We Disclose Affiliate Relationships
In line with the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) guidance on affiliate marketing, we disclose our affiliate relationships clearly and prominently. Every page containing affiliate links displays a disclosure notice near the top of the page stating: “As an Amazon Associate, Look Into earns from qualifying purchases.” Where we earn commissions from non-Amazon sources, we disclose this with equivalent clarity.
Does This Affect Our Recommendations?
No. Our editorial content is produced independently of our commercial relationships. The presence of an affiliate link does not influence whether we recommend a product, how we rank products, or how we rate a product’s performance. We frequently recommend products for which we earn no commission, and we have declined affiliate partnerships where we felt they would compromise our editorial independence. For full details on how we maintain editorial independence, see our Editorial Policy.
Your Choices
You are never obligated to use our affiliate links. If you prefer, you can navigate directly to a retailer’s website and make your purchase there. We appreciate when readers use our links because it helps fund our work, but we respect your choice either way.
