Roborock Q Revo Review 2026: The Self-Emptying Robot That Earns Its Price

Our verdict

The Roborock Q Revo is the robot vacuum that finally delivers on the hands-off promise the category has been making for a decade. After six weeks in an 85m² flat with two cats, we have emptied the dock bag exactly zero times, topped up the clean-water tank three times, and otherwise just watched it do its job.

The caveats are real. The dock is enormous and needs a dedicated 80cm-wide corner of the house. The mops are not quite good enough to replace an occasional deep clean. But for the 80% of UK homes with reasonably tidy floors and a spare corner for the dock, this is the robot vacuum we would buy.

The all-in-one dock does the work

The dock holds 4L clean water, 3.5L dirty water and a dust bag that collects ~7 weeks of dirt before needing a change. After each clean the robot reverses in, the dock sucks the dustbin, rinses mop pads with warm water, then hot-air dries for 4 hours.

Maintenance: top up clean water every 5-7 cleans, empty dirty water every 5-7 cleans, change the dust bag every 6-8 weeks. All three tasks under 60 seconds combined.

Cleaning performance

5,500Pa is serious kit. In our test scattering 30g of fine cat litter on low-pile carpet: 96% on Balanced single pass, 100% on a Max second pass. Oats on tile: 100% single pass. Flour on hardwood: 92% single pass.

Edge cleaning handled as well as anything short of £1,500+ premium models. The extended side brush reaches close to skirting; spinning mop pads pick up dust the dry vac missed.

Mopping performance

Dual spinning mops at 200rpm with gentle downward pressure remove light stains like dropped pasta sauce, coffee drips and muddy paw prints in a single pass.

Not a replacement for a proper deep mop. Dried-on food, hob grease or wine spills need a human. But for daily maintenance it transformed our floor-mop frequency from weekly to every 3-4 weeks.

Navigation and app

PreciSense LiDAR maps a new floor in about 15 minutes and stores up to four floor maps. Define rooms, no-go zones, no-mop zones in the app.

Obstacle handling is LiDAR-based: excellent for walls and chairs, less reliable for cables and pet mess. Camera-based rivals (j7+, Eufy X10) handle clutter better at higher prices.
