Advertiser terms

These terms apply to every sponsored feature on Look Into. They are short on purpose. If anything is unclear, ask before you sign.

1. Who these terms are between

Whito Ltd, company number 10918465, registered office 20-22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, trading as Look Into ("we"), and the business buying a sponsored feature ("you"). They apply together with the order we agree by email, which sets the guide, the monthly price, the start date and the feature content. If the order and these terms disagree, the order wins.

2. What you are buying

One clearly labelled sponsored feature on the agreed guide or guides for the agreed period, and a monthly report of views and clicks. We count views and clicks with our own system, exclude bots and our own visits as far as we can detect them, and report them in good faith. They are not a guarantee of traffic, clicks or sales.

3. Term and cancellation

The first term is three months from the start date. After that the feature continues month to month until either of us gives at least 30 days' notice in writing (email is fine). It ends at the end of a paid month.

4. Price and payment

You pay the agreed monthly price, invoiced monthly in advance and due within 7 days. Prices exclude VAT where applicable. We may pause the feature while an invoice is more than 14 days overdue. We can change the price for future months with at least 30 days' notice, but never during your first term.

5. Editorial independence

Your payment buys the advertisement only. It does not buy, and you may not ask for, a place in our picks, a ranking, a score, a verdict, a review, other coverage, or changes to anything we publish. We may review, compare or criticise your products, or your competitors' products, at any time on the same terms as everyone else. You may not describe a product as recommended, chosen or rated by Look Into because it has a sponsored feature.

6. Labelling

Every feature is marked Advertisement, names you as the brand that paid, links to our explanation of how we make money, and carries sponsored link tags. None of this can be removed or reduced. Features never appear on our cost indexes, claims audits, methodology or corrections pages.

7. Your content

You supply the copy, image and destination link, and you confirm that you own them or have permission to use them, that every claim is true and you hold evidence for it, and that the content complies with the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising (the CAP Code), consumer protection law and any rules for your product category, including authorised nutrition and health claims where they apply. We may edit for length, clarity, accuracy and labelling, and you approve the final version before it goes live. We may remove or decline content we reasonably believe is misleading or unlawful.

8. Changes and removal

You can change your copy or link once a month at no charge. If we remove a feature because you have broken these terms, no refund is due. If we remove it for any other reason, for example because the guide is withdrawn, we will offer to move it to a comparable guide or refund the unused part of the month.

9. Data

We do not share readers' personal data with advertisers. Reports are total counts only.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profits or indirect loss. You are responsible for claims arising from the content you supply and will cover our reasonable costs of dealing with them.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

lookinto.co.uk publishes dated UK household cost research: what things cost to buy, install and run across home energy, mobility, later-life care and home improvement. The only quote form on the site is for stairlifts and home lifts. Every index states its method, capture date and sources on the page it appears on.
