Look Into does two separate things, and it is worth knowing which one you are using. Most of the site is independent cost research and buying guides that you read and act on yourself. For stairlifts and home lifts only, we also run an enquiry form that passes your details to UK suppliers.
For most categories: research, not referrals
Across solar, heat pumps, boilers, EV chargers, home improvement and product guides, we do not collect enquiries and we do not arrange quotes. What we publish is what a job should cost in 2026, what moves the price, what quotes routinely leave out, and how to compare what comes back. You approach installers yourself, which is also how you keep control of who has your phone number.
Each of those sections has a guide on comparing quotes: solar, heat pumps, boilers, double glazing and EV chargers.
For stairlifts and home lifts: an enquiry form
- You complete the form on a stairlift or home lift page, answering a few questions about your stairs and requirements.
- Your details go to suppliers that cover your area and the type of lift you need.
- They contact you with quotes. Compare them on price, warranty, servicing and what the removal terms are.
- You decide. There is nothing to pay us, and no obligation to proceed.
That form is the only place on this site where we collect your details for a quote. If you have not filled one in, nobody has your information.
What it costs you
Nothing. Where an enquiry leads to a sale, we are paid a referral fee by the supplier. That fee never buys a better placement or a higher ranking anywhere on the site. See How we make money.
The providers we work with
Where a sector has recognised standards we favour accredited businesses, for example MCS for solar and heat pumps, Gas Safe for boilers, and CQC-registered providers for care. Whether you come through our form or approach a company yourself, check credentials, reviews and the contract before signing.
Common questions
Can I get quotes through Look Into for solar or a boiler?
No. For those categories we publish cost research and guidance on comparing quotes, and you contact installers directly.
Is the stairlift enquiry form free?
Yes. You pay nothing to use it and you are under no obligation to buy.
What happens to my details?
If you complete the enquiry form, we share only what is needed to connect you with relevant suppliers, and we do not sell your data. See our Privacy Policy.
