K-beauty stopped being a niche about two years ago, but this summer it took over the charts outright. When we read Amazon UK’s Beauty best sellers on 30 August 2026, medicube was sitting at number one with a pot of exfoliating toner pads, and had another five products in the top 18. COSRX, Anua and Beauty of Joseon are all a few places behind. The driver is PDRN, the salmon-DNA ingredient that has been everywhere on TikTok since spring, plus the simple fact that a Korean serum costs about a tenth of what a department-store one does.
September is also when most people rebuild a routine. Skin that coped fine in July starts flaking in October, and the products that fix that are cheap enough to try. Below is a full six-step routine, one product per step, all under £14 and all in stock in the UK today.

How we picked these
We started from Amazon UK’s Beauty best sellers list rather than from what brands are pushing, then filtered it down.
- One product per step. Cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate, treat, moisturise, protect. Six products that stack, not six versions of the same serum.
- Under £15 each. The point of Korean skincare is that you can buy the whole routine for the price of one Western serum, so anything above that was out.
- Priced and in stock on Amazon.co.uk. Every price below was read from the product page on 30 August 2026. K-beauty listings go in and out of stock quickly, so check before you buy.
- Sunscreen judged against NHS advice. The NHS says to look for SPF 30 or higher and at least four-star UVA protection. Korean sunscreens use a different UVA scale, so we flag what that actually means below.

Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil
Best for taking sunscreen offIf you wear SPF every day, a flannel and a foaming wash won’t shift it. This is the oil step that goes on dry skin first, breaks down sunscreen and makeup, then rinses off with water. Heartleaf is the calming ingredient Anua built the brand on, and the 200ml bottle lasts most people three or four months.
The catch: it emulsifies into a milky film that needs a proper rinse. Skimp on that and you get the greasy residue people blame on the oil itself.

Best for congested skinThe product currently sitting at number one in Amazon UK’s entire Beauty category. Each pad is textured on one side for a light physical sweep and smooth on the other for pressing the liquid in, and the liquid is 4.5% AHA with BHA and PHA behind it. If your nose and chin get rough by October, this is the thing that fixes it fastest.
The catch: 4.5% AHA is not a gentle daily toner, whatever the marketing suggests. Twice a week to start, and don’t use it the same evening as a retinol.

Best for dehydrated skinThe bottle that got most British people into K-beauty in the first place, and it has stayed in the charts for years because it does one job well. It is 96% snail secretion filtrate, it feels like a light gel rather than a serum, and it takes the tightness out of skin that has been in and out of central heating all day. Pat it on damp.
The catch: the texture is genuinely stringy and some people can’t get past it. It is also a hydrator, not a treatment, so it won’t do anything for pigmentation or lines.

Best for trying the PDRN trendPDRN is the ingredient behind most of this year’s K-beauty noise. In clinics it is injected. In a bottle at £12 it sits alongside niacinamide and peptides, and what you actually notice is a plumper, smoother surface for a few hours after each use. As a niacinamide serum with a good texture it is decent value even if you ignore the salmon DNA on the label.
The catch: the evidence for topical PDRN is much thinner than the marketing implies, because the molecule is large and the injectable studies don’t transfer. Buy it for the niacinamide and treat any PDRN effect as a bonus.

Best everyday moisturiserA gel-cream rather than a heavy balm, which is what most people want for autumn in the UK before it gets properly cold. It seals in whatever you put on underneath without leaving a shine, and the 100g tub is large enough to use on your neck too. Pairs obviously with the 96 essence, though it works fine on its own.
The catch: if your skin is dry rather than dehydrated, this won’t be rich enough by December and you’ll want something with more occlusive in it.

Best daily sunscreenThe reason people import Korean sunscreen is texture. This is SPF 50+ that sinks in like a moisturiser, leaves no white cast on most skin tones and doesn’t pill under makeup, which is not true of most British chemist SPF at this price. If the reason you skip sunscreen in autumn is that it feels unpleasant, this solves that.
The catch: it is rated PA++++, not with the UVA star system the NHS tells you to look for, so you can’t check it the way you would a Boots own-brand. PA++++ is the highest grade on the Korean scale and broadly comparable, but if you want a label that matches NHS wording, buy a UK sunscreen instead.

What order do these go on in?
Cleansing oil, then pads, then essence, then serum, then moisturiser, then sunscreen in the morning. The general rule is thinnest to thickest, with sunscreen always last. We have written the layering out in more detail in our guide to the Korean skincare routine order.
Do I need all six?
No. If you buy two, buy the sunscreen and the moisturiser. If you buy three, add the cleansing oil so the sunscreen actually comes off at night. The pads and the PDRN serum are the interesting ones, but they are additions to a routine rather than the base of it.
Are Korean sunscreens legal to sell in the UK?
Yes, provided the seller has done the paperwork. Cosmetics sold in Great Britain need a UK responsible person behind them and certain label information in English. A listing showing a bottle with Korean-only text and no English ingredient list has probably arrived as a grey import, which means nobody in the UK is accountable for it. Buy from sellers whose photos show English labelling.
Is PDRN worth the money?
As a £12 serum that also contains niacinamide and peptides, yes. As a reason to spend £60 on a face cream, no. The clinical work on PDRN is on injections, and there is little to show that a molecule that size gets anywhere useful when you smooth it on.
Will exfoliating pads make my skin worse?
They can, if you use them daily on top of everything else. Acid exfoliation also makes skin more sensitive to sunlight, which is another argument for the sunscreen. Start twice a week and stop if you get stinging that lasts more than a minute.
