The short answer (prices read 5 November 2026)

  • Shark CryoGlow, £233.99. Ulike ReGlow, £349.99.
  • Neither listing gives a wavelength in nanometres or a light strength in milliwatts per square centimetre. A £89.99 mask in the same chart gives both.
  • Ulike's only strength figure is a 77.4% increase. The listing never says what it is 77.4% more than.
  • Without strength you cannot work out dose, and dose is what light therapy is measured in. The £89.99 mask works out at 63 to 189 joules per square centimetre a session. Neither of these two can be calculated at all.
  • The Shark is at the cheapest we have ever recorded it. The Ulike is 142.2% above its own September price.
  • Ulike sells the ReGlow under two separate Amazon listings. On 5 November one was £349.99 and the other £199.99, both from the same seller, with the same four modes, the same eight minute session and the same claims.

LED face masks are sold on time. Eight minutes a day, six minutes for this mode, four for that one. Every listing tells you how long to wear it.

Almost none tells you how bright it is, and that is the half of the sum that matters. Light dose is strength multiplied by time. A mask that gives you the minutes and not the milliwatts has handed you one number out of two and called it a specification.

Prices in this table come from Amazon and are refreshed at least once a day, with the date of the last update under the table. The cost-per-use and running-cost figures on this page use prices Look Into read on 5 November 2026, so they can differ from today's price.

What each one states

Read on 5 November 2026 from the rendered listing, inside the bullet list and the product description on each page. We have included a third mask, the INIA at £89.99, because it is in the same basket we price every week and because it shows what a full disclosure looks like.

The pattern runs the wrong way round. The two masks with the marketing budgets say the least. The one nobody has heard of names its wavelengths, its light strength and its LED count in the product title.

The 77.4% that is not attached to anything

Ulike's description says its mirror design increases light energy irradiance by 77.4%. Irradiance is the right word, and it is the number we were looking for. But a percentage is a comparison, and the listing never says what the comparison is against. Not against its own previous model, not against a stated baseline, not against an industry figure.

So the one mask here that uses the correct technical term for light strength is also the one that manages to quote a figure you cannot use. 77.4% more than an unstated number is still an unstated number.

The arithmetic the INIA listing makes possible

Dose is strength multiplied by time. Strength in milliwatts per square centimetre, divided by a thousand to get watts, multiplied by the seconds you wear it, gives joules per square centimetre.

The INIA states 105 mW/cm2 and a timer of 10 to 30 minutes. That is 0.105 watts per square centimetre across 600 to 1,800 seconds, so 63 to 189 joules per square centimetre a session. Whether that is the right dose for anything is a question for a dermatologist, not for us, and we are not making a claim that it is. The point is narrower: it is a number, and you can hold the maker to it.

Run the same sum on the Shark and you stop at the first step. Eight minutes of an unstated strength is 480 seconds of nothing in particular. The same is true of the Ulike's eight minutes. Both might be perfectly good masks. Neither listing lets you check.

What we have watched them cost

All three sit in the fixed 74-product basket we have priced four times since 6 September 2026 for the Black Friday price claims audit.

Buy-box prices read from amazon.co.uk on each date shown.

This is the clearest case in the whole basket. The Ulike ReGlow was £144.49 on both our September captures. It is £349.99 today, which is two and a half times what we watched it sell for eight weeks ago, and the single largest rise across all 72 products we can compare.

The Shark has gone the other way and is cheaper today than on any date we have recorded it. If a Black Friday badge appears on either of these on 27 November, those two sentences are the context the badge will not give you.

We checked the Ulike figure by eye rather than trusting the reading, because a rise that size is usually a scraping error. It is not one. The full method and the rest of the basket are on our Black Friday Price Claims Audit 2026.

The same mask, two listings, £150 apart

While checking the Ulike price we found a second Amazon listing for the ReGlow. Both are sold by Ulike Beauty Care. Neither offers the other as a variant to switch to, so unless you search for it you will only ever see the one you landed on.

Bead count in the titleNot stated272 beads, pearl white
Both listings read on 5 November 2026.

We are not going to tell you these are the same unit, because the cheaper listing names a bead count and a colour and the dearer one names neither, and we have not had either in our hands. What we can tell you is what the two pages say, and on everything they both state they are identical: same seller, same four modes, same eight minutes, same three percentages.

The £150 gap is the whole point. Before you pay £349.99 for a ReGlow, it is worth a minute of your time to look at the other listing and decide for yourself whether the difference is a product or a page.

Our weekly price record follows B0F9FPTXFR, the dearer one, because that is the ASIN fixed into the basket on 6 September. The cheaper listing is not in the record and we have no dated history for it.

So which one

Best of the two named brands

Shark CryoGlow LED Face Mask

£233.99 on 5 November 2026 · 4, 6 and 8 minute modes · under-eye cooling · 90.0p a session over a year

It is £116 cheaper than the Ulike, it is at the lowest price we have ever recorded for it, and the under-eye cooling is a feature neither of the others has. On price timing alone it is the better buy of the two today.

The catch: it tells you nothing about the light. No wavelength, no strength, no LED count anywhere in its own bullets or description. You are buying the brand and the cooling, not a specification you can check.

Only one that publishes the physics

INIA Red Light LED Face Mask

£89.99 on 5 November 2026 · 630nm and 850nm · 105 mW/cm2 · 220 chips · 34.6p a session over a year

A quarter of the Ulike's price and the only one of the three whose claims you can turn into a dose. It states both wavelengths, the light strength and the chip count in the product title, which is where the other two put adjectives.

The catch: it is an unknown brand with no service history to fall back on, the 105 mW/cm2 figure is its own and nobody independent has confirmed it, and a 30 minute session is a long time to sit still in a mask.

Worst timing on this page

Ulike ReGlow LED Face Mask

£349.99 on 5 November 2026 · 8 minute sessions · four modes · £1.35 a session over a year

Four modes, a mirrored interior and the shortest daily routine of the three. If the design does what it says, the eight minutes a day is the easiest routine here to actually keep.

The catch: it is £349.99 today and was £144.49 on two of our captures, the biggest rise in our entire basket. Its one strength figure is a percentage with nothing on the other side of it. At £1.35 a session it is four times the INIA and half again the Shark. And Ulike lists the same mask elsewhere on Amazon at £199.99.

Check price on Amazon →

Between the two in the title, the Shark on 5 November 2026, and not by a small margin. It is cheaper, it is at its own floor rather than two and a half times above it, and the gap in what they disclose is nil because neither discloses anything. When the specifications are equally absent, price timing is the only thing left to judge on, and on that the Shark wins outright today. If you want the Ulike regardless, buy it from the cheaper of its two listings.

Look Into has not handled any of these masks: every figure here comes from the listing or from our own dated price record, read on the date shown.

Questions people ask

Does a more expensive LED mask work better?

On these three listings you cannot tell, because the two dearest give you no figure to compare. The £89.99 mask is the only one that publishes a wavelength and a light strength. That does not prove it is better. It proves it is the only one making a checkable claim.

What is a good irradiance for an LED face mask?

We are not going to give you a target figure, because that is a clinical question and this is a page about what retailers publish. What we can say is that without an irradiance figure and a session time you cannot calculate a dose at all, and two of these three do not let you start.

Why does the wavelength matter?

Different wavelengths behave differently in skin, which is why the INIA separates 630nm from 850nm and explains what it uses each for. A listing that says red, blue and infrared without numbers is describing colours rather than specifying a device.

Should I wait for Black Friday?

For the Shark and the INIA you are already at or below the cheapest we have recorded, so there is less room beneath you than a sale badge will suggest. For the Ulike the November price is 142.2% above its September one, so a cut would have a long way to fall before it reached what we watched it sell for. Black Friday 2026 is 27 November.

Where can I compare more masks?

Our LED face mask guide covers the wider field, and the UK At-Home Beauty Device Cost Index costs beauty devices per session rather than per box.

Prices are buy-box prices read on 5 November 2026 and will have moved since. The figures in the tables and cards are from that morning's capture; the comparison table near the top of this page is a live feed and will differ. That table carries the cheaper of the two Ulike listings, B0F9FQBNFJ, because it is the one the feed returns, so its Ulike price is the £199.99 one and not the £349.99 we track.
